# Blueprint Quick Start

Add URelationshipComponent to an Actor, assign a URelationshipProfile, author a concrete Relationship.Subject.* SubjectId, and define concrete Relationship.Metric.* metrics. Call SetRelationshipValue or AddRelationshipValue with a concrete target subject, then query with GetRelationshipValue. Values obey each metric’s authored Floor and Ceiling.

Runtime checks

RelationshipDirectorProbabilityBridge is retired. For optional Probability-backed checks, enable DirectorBridge Relationship.Probability with Relationship Director and Probability Director; see Integrations. Relationship remains independently usable without those plugins.

During PIE/SIE open Tools → Director Suite → Runtime Inspectors → Relationship Director Runtime Inspector to inspect a source, target, and metric; this surface is strictly read-only. Use Tools → Director Suite → Runtime Controls → Relationship Director Runtime Controls to set, adjust, or reset live values. Advanced Debug Override is available there only and retains absolute range and identity checks. The session journal is not persistence.
